Find Huntingdon County Inmate Records

Huntingdon County inmate records are not gathered in a public county jail roster online. To look up Huntingdon County inmates, current custody usually starts with the county prison phone line, VINE custody notices, court dockets, and written records requests. State-sentenced inmates are searched through Pennsylvania corrections, while federal and immigration custody use separate federal locators. The record path depends on whether the person is newly booked, awaiting court, serving a county sentence, transferred to state prison, or held for another agency.

Huntingdon County Jail Roster Status

No official Huntingdon County current-inmate roster, jail booking report, or public mugshot roster was located on the county prison, sheriff, or court pages. The Huntingdon County Prison page gives facility facts, warden names, capacity, building layout, and a "Search For An Inmate" link, but that link points to Pennsylvania DOC resources rather than a county jail roster.

This matters because the PA DOC locator does not show county-facility inmates. A person arrested in Huntingdon County may be inside the county prison, housed elsewhere for the county, released on bail, transferred to state custody, or held for another court or agency. One search box cannot resolve all of those possibilities. The strongest path is to match the question to the custody stage.

Important: Do not treat the state DOC locator as proof that someone is not in Huntingdon County Prison.

Confirm Huntingdon County Custody

For current county-prison custody, call Huntingdon County Prison at (814) 643-2490. The official site does not publish a separate 24-hour booking desk number. Ask whether the person is in custody, whether bond or bail has been set, the committing or charging agency, whether the person may receive visits or money, and whether any hold or detainer affects release.

  1. Gather the person's full name, date of birth if known, arrest date, and possible charging agency.
  2. Call the county prison and ask for current custody status and release-condition information.
  3. Search UJS Case Search by participant name, OTN, complaint number, or docket number for charge and bail entries.
  4. Use Pennsylvania VINE for custody notifications if a status alert is needed.
  5. If no public record answers the question, file a written request through the county Right To Know process.

The county's inmate information page is the main official source for visiting, mail, money, property, and telephone rules. A screenshot from the Huntingdon County inmate-related information page appears below.

Huntingdon County Roster Search Fields

The research did not locate a Huntingdon County Prison online search form with last-name, booking-number, date-of-birth, or booking-date fields. That absence should be stated plainly. The county's official pages provide contact and procedure information, while the online search tools that do exist serve other purposes: state prison, court dockets, federal custody, immigration custody, or custody notifications.

Huntingdon County Inmate Record Fields

Since there is no inspected public county profile, do not claim that Huntingdon County posts mugshots, housing units, charges, bond amounts, or booking numbers online. Those fields may exist in internal booking or jail records, but public access depends on the record, the office holding it, and any redaction duty under Pennsylvania law. A clear written request should identify the person, the approximate commitment date, and the records sought.

Requested FieldWhat It May Confirm
Name and commitment dateWhether the person was admitted to Huntingdon County Prison and when the jail record began.
Committing agencyWhich police, sheriff, court, or other agency placed the person in county custody.
Docket or OTNThe court tracking number used to follow charges in UJS Case Search.
Booking chargesInitial accusations at commitment, which may differ from later court charges.
Bail or bond statusWhether a release condition exists and whether another hold may block release.
Release or transfer statusWhether the person was released, moved to another county, or transferred to DOC custody.

County State and Federal Inmates

Huntingdon County inmate records split by custody system. County custody is handled through Huntingdon County Prison and county record channels. State custody is handled by the PA DOC locate service and the Inmate/Parolee Locator. Federal custody uses the BOP locator after BOP custody begins, while U.S. Marshals custody may require contact with the Middle District of Pennsylvania. Immigration custody uses ICE ODLS.

Booking Process in Huntingdon County

Local pages do not publish a minute-by-minute booking script, but the prison building description identifies the intake spaces: a vehicle vestibule, holding cells, medical exam room, control center, and booking room. A person may arrive after arrest by local police, Pennsylvania State Police, sheriff deputies on a warrant, or another authorized agency. The jail record begins with commitment and intake processing.

Property is reviewed at commitment. The county lists allowed items such as athletic or casual shoes, white underclothing, dentures, prescription glasses or contacts, a plain wedding band if already possessed, a small religious medal, medical alert bracelet, limited personal photos and letters, legal material, and certain religious items. Work-release clothing is accepted only after work-release approval and signed agreement paperwork.

Huntingdon County Records Requests

For county-held administrative records or releasable booking records that are not online, use the Huntingdon County Right To Know page. It lists Right To Know, 233 Penn Street, Huntingdon, PA 16652, phone (814) 643-3091, fax (814) 643-8152, and Heather Fellman as Chief Clerk Right to Know Officer. Written requests should identify the record with enough detail for the county to locate it.

DA-held records use the District Attorney RTKL process. The DA page says verbal or anonymous requests are not accepted and that requests must include the requester's name and address. The DA page lists copying fees of $0.25 per page, with other fees under the Pennsylvania Right-to-Know Law fee structure.

Note: Court dockets are searched through UJS and court offices, while jail administrative records use agency records channels.
